Biophysicist
Quantapore is building new generations of proteomic and genomic analytical platforms. These will shape the course of basic research, drug discovery, and diagnostics for years to come.
Building such a platform requires a special breed of scientist. You will join a small, dedicated, and highly skilled R&D team. Your insights and contributions will give shape to the ultimate product, and our ultimate success. We are looking for a seasoned bench scientist to join our team.
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as physics, physical chemistry, biophysics or bioengineering
- Experience in the design and manipulation of single-molecule detection systems
- Knowledge of the principles of the photo physics of dyes
- Knowledge of the principles of optical microscopy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing, building and maintaining breadboard optical systems
- Experience with nano-scale systems, especially nanopores
- Experience with molecular biology or protein analysis platforms
- Industrial experience, including at least one shipped product
- Microfluidics
Above all, you have a proven record of success in the lab, at the frontier between physics and biology.
